One of the questions we’re asked most often is, “Does insurance cover ketamine?” While the answer is typically “no”, NeuConnections Ketamine & Wellness Clinic has been diligently working behind the scenes to make some coverage a reality. We understand that the cost of mental health care can be a significant concern for many and access to this opportunity should not be limited. Despite many delays with the insurance credentialing process, we are getting closer and hoping that in early 2024 (estimated Q2), we will begin accepting some insurance for our services. This marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to make cutting-edge mental health treatments more accessible to our community. We believe that a portion of the costs for these life-changing therapies should be covered by insurance*, easing the financial burden for our clients and creating more access.

NeuConnections Insurance Partnerships:**
Aetna: Comprehensive health care services, supporting mental health advancements.
Blue Cross Blue Shield: Wide network, ensuring quality health coverage for our treatments.
Cigna: Global health service leader, expanding access to mental health care.

*Insurance should cover the cost of the medical screening and limited time with a medical provider for each treatment. Depending on your Insurance benefits this may work towards your deductible with mental health coverage.

**NeuConnections is working to expand our network of insurance providers in 2024!

Additional Information

While ketamine treatment may not always fall under typical insurance coverage, we are in-network with several reputable insurance carriers. This allows us to bill them for a portion of the treatment cost. Our billing specialist will work with you to verify your insurance benefits and provide a good faith estimate of the cost of treatment.

A good faith estimate is an approximation of the out-of-pocket expenses you may incur for your treatment. It provides you with a clear understanding of the expected costs, allowing you to plan accordingly. Our billing specialist will provide you with this estimate based on the information obtained during the verification process.

Some insurance carriers may require pre-authorization for ketamine treatment. If this is the case, our team will assist in obtaining the necessary documentation to ensure a seamless process.

Coverage limits can vary depending on your specific insurance plan. Our billing specialist will work with you to provide information on any coverage limits that may apply to your treatment.

In the event that an insurance claim is denied, our team will work with you to explore alternative options and potentially file an appeal on your behalf.
